Vlog: My July Favourites

Happy Monday Friends!

My blog is finally back up…yayyy!  It was down early as I am finally making  the switch to self-hosted as part of a big revamp of my blog.  I’ve been blogging for nearly 2 years now so I thought it was about time that I had more control over my own blog.

Anyways, in the meantime I have a little vlog for you sharing my favourite things from July. I thought I would jump on the bandwagon as I know a lot of other vloggers do them and they are so much fun!

July was full of some amazing things, I cannot wait to see what August brings! I  be posting my usual I *HEART* July post looking what I have accomplished over the month as a whole and the goals I have set for August later this week.

Remember to subscribe to my YouTube channel!

Vlog: One dress, three ways!

In my previous job there wasn’t really a traditional uniform as all that was stipulated was that we had to black, but we could accessorise with colour. Now in my latest job we have to wear business dress with no colour restrictions what so ever.

For me business dress is all about beautiful tailored lines and well-structured clothes, which for good quality clothing which can be on the more expensive side of things. It can also be hard with tailoring to gauge what actually suits your shape as some things will look really good on a curvy figure and not on a slighter frame, and vice versa.

Over the last few months I have discovered that business wear and tailored items can be affordable and in post I wanted to share my thoughts and ideas which I discuss in my vlog below.

Formal and ready for business:

look no 1

Skinny waist belt (came with dress): Mango, blazer with elbow pads: Zara, 60 denier tights: House of Fraser, black courts: Pied et Terre, necklace: Swaroski, pearl stud earrings: Forever 21.

Middle of the road:

Waist belt: as before, 60 denier tights: as before, beige cardigan: Zara, red shoe boots: office, earrings: Forever 21.

Chilled and casual:

look no 3

Waist belt: H&M, leggings: H&M, floral scarf: H&M, satin ballet pumps: Mimco, pearl stud earrings: Forever 21, PEACE bracelet: Topshop, beaded bracelet: Lola Rose.

So just to recap my top tips for shopping for business wear and tailoring are:

1. Shop the sales

2. Know your body shape and buy staple pieces

I hope you enjoyed this vlog and found it helpful.  It is difficult shopping for business wear but I think once you know what suits your shape it is pretty much plane sailing from there and you can get so many different looks from your staple pieces just by experimenting with accessories.

Don’t forget to subscribe to my Youtube channel and I will see you all tomorrow! Smile

Which look best suits your style? Are you a big fan of accessorising your outfits?

Are you good at picking clothes that suit you body shape?

My Skincare Routine

In the past I have had a few emails about my skincare routine but have never really address this in a post.  I have used Liz Earle products for the past 8 months at least and love them so much. It feels like I am having a spa facial every time that I use them.

Since I have just replenished my skincare products so I thought it would be great to do a vlog on this, enjoy!

Did you manage to guess how many times I say “errrm…” or sniffled! Ha!  My hayfever was driving me insane last week when I recorded this.

Another great thing about the Liz Earle range is that they are not tested on animals and all of the products are marked on the back with the certified logo.

So you can probably tell that I am a huge fan of this skincare line and the results that it has produced on my own skin.

What is your current skin routine?

Are you conscious of using skincare products that are not tested on animals?

Do you have a QVC queen in the family?

*I am not affiliated with Liz Earle in any way, all the products in this post have been purchased by myself or gifted to me by my family.  All opinions are my own.*

The week that was….a bag of sorts!

Horray for the weekend!  The start of the week was super busy for me doing those long shifts at work.  I have had the rest of the week off though but have still been busy catching up with stuff.  So I really excited that the weekend is almost ready to grace us again.

This week I indulged in the Jubilee celebrations a little and baked my Patriotic Lemon Sponge cake.

Alfie is still totally unaware that this cake is vegan!  Love it!

I got a mega delivery of Total Greek Yoghurt split pots in their new raspberry and pomegranate flavour, cannot wait to feast on these!

A chocolately evening was in order the other night and the bar of Conscious raw chocolate that I won in a Twitter competition really hit the spot!

I posted my second vlog featuring Sharpham Park and a fab giveaway, so go and check it out!

Many of you may have noticed that I have been loving my florals lately and love the oriental style florals on my red jacket that I wore the other day.

Cake for breakfast is never a bad thing  I had two slices of my Fruit Loaf taken from the freezer topped with nut butters and served with a bowl of strawberries…yum!

My flower girl dresses arrived this week, I’ve been offered some sponsored blog posts  which will really help with the wedding spending, and house hunting is now in full swing!

I have a fab weekend planned starting with a date night with Alfie later tonight.  Tomorrow I am meeting with one of my bridesmaids for lunch and a bit of shopping.  There will also be lots of relaxation, a run (weather depending) and maybe some baking too.

Have an incredible weekend everyone!

What have been the highlights from your week?  Do you have any lovely plans for the weekend?

Sharpham Park Review and GIVEAWAY!

Two weeks ago I was contacted my Sharpham Park and asked of I would like to review their new Spelt Bran Flakes with Berries cereal. IMG_2648[1]
